Tesla Megapack Battery Energy Storage System

Storing Today’s Energy. Powering Tomorrow’s Security.

About Us

Building Romania’s Energy Future

At the intersection of infrastructure and innovation, we deliver storage solutions that strengthen the grid and accelerate the clean energy transition.

BESST TRADING SRL is a Bucharest-based energy infrastructure company focused on advancing Romania’s transition toward a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable power system.

The company is developing a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a total capacity of approximately 1,000 MWh, strategically located near the Bradu 400 kV substation in the Pitești area — one of the country’s key transmission nodes.

This landmark project is designed to play a critical role in strengthening grid stability, enhancing system flexibility, and supporting the large-scale integration of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar.

Our Mission

Through this investment, BESST TRADING SRL positions itself at the forefront of Romania’s next generation of energy infrastructure, delivering advanced storage solutions that align with European decarbonization objectives, grid modernization strategies, and long-term energy independence goals.

  • Fast-response balancing services for grid operators
  • Peak-shaving capabilities to reduce system volatility

The Project

1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System

A landmark infrastructure investment at the Bradu 400 kV node, designed to transform Romania's grid resilience and clean energy capacity.

Grid Stability

Fast-response frequency regulation and voltage support services that keep Romania's transmission network balanced and reliable around the clock.

Renewable Integration

Enabling higher penetration of wind and solar by absorbing excess generation and dispatching stored energy when intermittent sources dip.

Peak Shaving

Reducing demand spikes during peak hours to lower system costs, relieve transmission congestion, and defer expensive infrastructure upgrades.

Strategic Location

Positioned near the Bradu 400 kV substation, one of Romania's most critical transmission nodes, ensuring optimal grid interconnection and minimal losses.

European Alignment

Fully aligned with EU decarbonization targets, the Green Deal, and Romania's National Energy and Climate Plan through 2030.

Security of Supply

Providing reserve power during critical moments — extreme weather, generation shortfalls, or transmission contingencies — to keep the lights on.
